Descartes - Essay Example He doubted everything even the existence of God, nevertheless he considered atheists as the benighted people (Watson, 226). Descartes claimed that sense of perception could be the source that definitely should be doubted as our feelings was subjective dimension of sensation. He was perturbed that people had regarded senses as a basic source of beliefs. It was constant for Descartes that only approved facts could be seen as general truth in the world. He argued that the process of thinking was cogent one as this was continuous proceeding.
